FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND INFORMATION
Q: What makes AVPRO Flight and Training Center different from other schools in the Philippines?
A: Several things distinguish AVPRO Flight and Training Center.
AVPRO has successfully taken the bold step into making the 1st Professional Flight Training Device - FTD among our other micro simulator projects.
With extensive ground school program combined with the use of our Philippine - made micro simulators and offering a LOFT (Line Oriented Flight Training)-based actual aircraft training required by commercial airlines worldwide.
Our FTD…
… will allow students to practice instrument interpretation and learn basic procedures such as cockpit control manipulation and navigation before they get into an actual airplane.
… will allow a student to work on one new concept at a time while not having to worry about keeping the plane in the air.
… will be an effective method of instruction when virtual weather conditions are read on weather maps and actually seen in the simulation, real time (cyberspace!), courtesy of an efficient broadband provider, thus making the training experience very realistic.
… is safer than the real aircraft for flight instruction because many maneuvers and test standards are too dangerous to do in the real aircraft (ex. loss of an engine on take off requires the student to react quickly on airspeed control and avoid the temptation of making a steep turn back to the runway)
… is a good training tool to develop and maintain proficiency
… will be very useful in gaining situational awareness in a visual environment (ex. to familiarize yourself with a new airport and the surrounding area before flying there in real life)
… also provides such benefits as reducing noise/air pollution, air traffic congestion, and conserving petroleum resources.
